Kids Forestry Class (8-10 Yr. olds)

Trees serve many different roles in our environment and our daily lives. In this class, students learn how different types of trees function, focusing on trees that are native to our piece of Minnesota. Each learner will develop skills that foresters use to understand the woods. *Space is limited, RSVP early

Forest Preservation Work Party
Wednesday, June 21; 3:30-5:00 p.m.
Our forests at the Nature Center are home to a large variety of wildlife and species of plants, but invasive species, like buckthorn, inhibit the growth and development of a good forest habitat. Learn about how invasive species affect forest habitats. Then we will be heading out into the forest to continue our forest restoration efforts of pulling buckthorn.
